Kingston, Jamaica, August 16, 2012- Reggae Release in recognition with Kingston & St. Andrew Corporation (KSAC), has officially distributed a remastered version of the most ideal song that was dedicated to the late National Hero; Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr., to radio stations and disc jocks all over the world. The song, titled “A Tribute to a Hero” performed by The Ethiopians has found the spotlight.

Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr., ONH (August 17, 1887 – June 10, 1940) was a Jamaican political leader, publisher, journalist, entrepreneur, and orator who was a staunch proponent of the Black Nationalism and Pan-Africanism Movements, to which end he found the Universal Negro Improvement Association and African Communities League (UNIA-ACL).

The Ethiopians were a ska, rocksteady, and reggae vocal group, founded by Leonard Dillon (December 9, 1942, Port Antonio, Jamaica – September 28, 2011, Kingston, Jamaica), Stephen Taylor and Aston Morris. “Tribute to a Hero”, written by one of Jamaica’s most talented Singer/Songwriter Robbie Forbes, number fifteen (15) on The Ethiopians album “Tougher Than Stone” was remastered on August 14, 2012 and officially released by Reggae Release on August 16, 2012. The Ethiopians in “Tribute to a Hero” pleads for “a Marcus Garvey day”. Finally this demand has been met by KSAC. What better way to celebrate the life and death of an excellent National Hero other than by playing and giving undivided attention listening to this song by the Legendary Ethiopians while we say “thank you” to the late National Hero – Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr.
